ABOUT THE "POWER/WEIGHT" PARAMETER
of the baitcasting and spinning reels|
Here reels of the light class (Daiwa 105 and Shimano 2000).
1. For the baitcasting reel the "legal" - passport - drag is higher in 1,6 times - 4 kgs and 2,5 kgs.
2. It is less by weight in 1,3 times - 190 g and 250 g.
There and there reducer, spool, level wind mechanism... From the kinematic point of view all is very close. At the expense of that such huge difference in the power/weight parameter? - For the baitcasting reel it is higher in 2,1 times.
1. Maximum length of a lever, with which one acts breaking out force by line, it is less in 4 times (max C = 2,5 cm and max A = 11 cm). A and C - distance between a surface of reelholder and entry point of line in a reel.|
2. Maximum length of a lever, with which one acts breaking out force by hand, it is less in 3 times (max D = 5 cm and max B = 15 cm). B and D - distance between a surface of reelholder and point of application of a hand in a vertical plane.
For this reason even the much less power spinning reel should nevertheless be made on 32 % more "fleshy", rougher.
